IN TODAY'S BUSINESS CLIMATE

What exactly is freelance digital marketing?

Social Media a

Freelance digital marketing, AKA affiliate marketing is a business model where a person or company can earn commissions promoting products or services through a partnership or “affiliate” agreement with another business entity.

 Did you know:

More than half (56%) of Americans don’t know how much they’ll need for retirement. (Northwestern Mutual)

42% of people are concerned about outliving their assets. (Schroders)

71% of Americans say they are afraid there will be no Social Security funds when they retire (Wells Fargo)

As of 2019, More than 22% of Americans had less than $5,000 saved for retirement and 15% had NO retirement savings.  (Northwestern Mutual)

What does your wealth lifestyle look like?

* Life of luxury * Travel * Philanthropy * Volunteer work * Moving to a nicer part of town * Donating substantially to your church * Maintaining your current lifestyle, worry free * Leaving a legacy to family or charity

Whatever your wealth lifestyle looks like, it’s yours.  Only you can determine what you want from your life.

The difference between income & wealth:
Income = Money received – usually your paycheck
Wealth = Accumulation of assets – investments (stocks, property, etc.)

A grim reality

For Adults over 65, the total annual expenditures for an individual average $43,000 (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics).  For couples, that number is slightly less than double ($80,000) with some of the expenses being shared.

For this same group, the average Social Security benefit was $1,461/month or $17,532/year in 2019.  (Social Security Administration) A mere 40% of what is required to meet expenses.

401k participants believe they will need $1.7 Million to retire, while many of them are not investing enough to reach their goal.  (Charles Schwab)

Keep in mind, for those who retire at age 65, with a current average life expectancy of 87 years, $1.7 Million would need to stretch for 22 years.  Not including lucrative investments, that is $77K per year, which is doable, but as I already mentioned, many don’t invest enough to reach their goal.  And ~ pray there are no catastrophic medical expenses.

Retirement plan?… Really?

According to an April 2019 survey by STASH, a consumer investing app, more than two-thirds of millennials are waiting on a winning lottery jackpot to secure their retirements.  Thirty-one percent of Americans don’t invest because they think it’s risky, but 39 percent, including 59 percent of millennials, feel it’s reasonable to think of the lottery jackpot as a potential means of retirement, according to the survey.

More than a fifth (22 percent) plan to spend their retirement working a part-time job, 4 percent hope to find cheaper living abroad, 4 percent will depend on their children, and 3percent will look for a rich spouse to support them, according to the STASH report.  The rest is split between those with a sound retirement plan and those with no plan or will only have Social Security as their sole source of income.

Good News!

Let me be the bearer of good news for a change.  Living comfortably,  before and during retirement, and/or living a life of abundance, is surely attainable.  And for anyone willing to put in the effort, can be a reality sooner than you might think.

So Many Millionaires in the U.S.?

By 1989, American millionaires had become quite common.  There were about 1.5 million of them. So how many millionaires are there today? According to Credit Suisse’s 2021 Global Wealth Report, the U.S. has 21.9 million millionaires, out of the world’s total of 56.1 million. In fact, during 2020, the U.S. alone added 1.7 million new millionaires to its total.  (Credit Suisse. “Global Wealth Report 2021,” Page 20. Accessed August 16, 2022)

Creating Online Wealth

The internet is the most powerful tool for creating wealth than anything else in history, ever.  Which is why I am dedicated to “Creating Online Wealth”.  I can guide you, provide you with valuable (real life) information, recommend the correct tools, tell you how to avoid some pitfalls, etc.  But in the end, you have to do the work yourself.

What it’s not

No, this is not some kind of “get rich quick scheme”.  Nor will I try to sell you on some far-fetched idea that with a few mouse clicks, you’ll be America’s next Millionaire.  Being an online entrepreneur takes a lot of work.   But consistent effort will be rewarded.  There is a simple formula you can follow that will give you the best head start in creating your online business (I did not say easy, I said simple).  For those who think this is an easy street to riches will fail.  In fact 90% of online businesses fail within the first 4 months!  (Web FX)   Don’t make me repeat that

Why would they fail?

These are people who:

Did not expect to put in any effort to reap the massive rewards, and gave up. -or-

They had an idea, but they couldn’t harvest enough leads / customers, and gave up. -or-

They didn’t understand how to properly market their idea, and gave up.

There’s probably hundreds of reasons they failed, but what’s the common factor here?  THEY GAVE UP!    They were not properly prepared and they weren’t committed to their their success or their dream.

Like I said 90% fail in their first 4 months.  (okay, so I  repeated it anyway.  It’s worth repeating).  But 4 months?  That’s not enough time to create a successful online business by any standard!   Yes, you’ll read about the occasional claim of overnight success, maybe it’s real and maybe it’s not, but you’re not that person.  If you were, you wouldn’t be reading this and stressing out about retirement.  So just stop that kind of thinking.  A real and successful business takes time and effort.  But the good news is, once you put in the time and effort, your online business can be the gift that keeps giving, even in retirement.

Commit to Success

I can help guide you through the steps of creating a successful online business.  But you have to be committed to success.  And I don’t mean committed to 4 months of trial.  I mean committed to your business until it succeeds!
